How to install the HP LaserJet 1018 driver on Windows 8
To use any device, including the HP LaserJet 1018 printer, you must install a driver. You can try to simply connect the equipment and wait for the system to make the settings, but a positive result is unlikely. It is required to supply software that was developed for a specific model. To use the specified model, you need to download the HP LaserJet 1018 driver. You can find the distribution kit on this page. Use the link a little higher for this (click on it).
Open the folder where you saved the driver and run it. You will see a license agreement. You need to check the box at the bottom of the window, next to the words “I accept”, then click on “Next”.
The installation of the distribution kit will begin. You need to wait for the process to complete. You can follow the process by the line filled with blue rectangles.
When the process is complete, the installer will ask you to connect the printer. Connect it to an outlet, use another cable to connect to the computer. There is no need to press anywhere, when the system “sees” the printer, it finishes the settings and the window will close itself.
You can use your new HP LaserJet 1018 hardware as the driver has been successfully installed.
