Windows 2003/2008/2012 / XP / Vista / 7/8 / 8.1 / 10
If the above mentioned systems are installed on your computer, you can install the driver using universal drivers.
Install via Windows update
You can also install the driver using Windows. Below we have prepared a guide for you.
How to install a driver on Windows 10
There are two ways to install the HP LaserJet P2014d driver. The first way is to download a special program that will find the driver you need and install it on your computer. The second method involves manually installing the driver using Windows Update. It is this method that will be discussed in the article.
All devices connected to the system are displayed in the “Devices and Printers” tab. To get into it, you need to go to the “Control Panel”. It can be found in the Start menu or entered in the search.
Next, we are interested in the “Hardware and Sound” tab, under which – “View devices and printers”. Click there.
Before us are all devices connected to the PC. Our task is to add something new. To do this, click on “Add Printer”.
The computer starts an independent search for devices already connected to the computer. We stop its activity by clicking on “The required printer is not in the list.”
Windows offers other options for adding a printer. We choose the very last option.
The port settings are highlighted. We don’t change anything here, just go further.
Now we have two columns: in the first – the manufacturer, in the second – the device models. In the first column, select HP, and click on Windows Update under the second column.
After clicking, the operating system will start updating the list of printers.
After the update, we again select our manufacturer and look for the printer we are interested in. Click “Next”.
The printer name displayed in the new window can be left as it is.
We are waiting for the drivers to be installed.
After successful completion of the installation, click on “Finish”.
We return to “Devices and Printers”. Right-click on our device and delete it.
We confirm our actions by clicking on the “Yes” button.
This completes the driver installation. It remains to connect the printer to the computer and turn it on. The driver will be installed automatically.
