Driver installation for Samsung ML-1520 has one key nuance. The installation package downloaded from the official site is a self-extracting archive. That is, it is not an installation program per se. If you run the package without administrator rights, unpacking will be performed, which may not go through completely when the files are written to the system disk.
The window shown above is just for unpacking. This path is worth remembering. If after unpacking the installation does not start along this path, you should go through it yourself. Then run the setup or install file with the .exe extension (application). Then the installation will continue.
In the specified window, you can either cancel the installation (this will not delete temporary files). Or click “Next” and continue it (at the end of the installation, the files are deleted).
We connect the printer to the computer, as shown in the image. The Samsung ML-1520 only has a USB connection. Other ports are not used. Click “Next” and continue with the installation. By the way, this can be done without connecting a printer.
